Momo, full name Moriarty M. Gardestein, is a recruitable character in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Momo is a great sorcerer who used centuries of magical research to shape himself into his idealised vision of cuteness.
History

Momo's exact age is unknown but it is known that he was a powerful magical researcher and sorcerer during the time of the Oldest Realm, some 300 years ago. After years mastering magical arts, Momo adopted a youthful appearance, deeming "Cuteness is justice" as his ultimate belief. Since then, he has spent his long life developing his unique approach to spellcasting.
His cuteness theory corollary was the unbounded potential of magical girls. He's published a whole range of magical girl-themed picture books to encourage cute girls to follow the path of magic and also searched for girls with natural magical girl potential. Years ago, Momo saved a young 
Maureus from a monster attack. Maureus was hugely impressed by the mage, and made up his mind to become strong and gallant like his savior. Later, a struggling Maureus would reencounter Momo and used his maxim of "Cuteness is justice" to broaden his perspective.
At some point, Momo had a testing site at 
The Seaside Cavern. He had abandoned the site a century ago, leaving what was once a small creature to grow into an enormous 
Kraken over the decades under the influence of a raw lens. In 
Hishahn, Momo would come across 
Nowa and persuade him to help, posing as a concerned civilian. After Nowa and his party took down the Kraken and Momo recovered the raw lens, the sage would reveal his origins and join the Alliance.
As a member of the Alliance, Momo continued his research into cuteness, investigating such cuteness frontiers as large eyes and the cuteness factor of roundness. He was also a skilled actor, especially in female roles. He got along well with 
Mellore and 
Carrie, the three functioning well as a magical cuteness unit. 
Gieran was also aware of Momo's power and reputation but found his lessons on cuteness a little harder to internalize.
Following the war, Momo continued his research day and night in pursuit of greater cuteness, while making an effort to clean up his old testing site.
