Sumire Uesaka (上坂すみれ, Uesaka Sumire, born December 19, 1991) is a Japanese voice actor. She is the voice of Marisa in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Production History

Sumire Uesaka has been involved in show business from an early age. When she was nine years old, while on her way home from the Practical English Proficiency Test, she was scouted by the Spacecraft Junior Talent Club and became the first Japanese person to appear in a Vidal Sassoon commercial. Growing up, Uesaka became known as a Russophile, holding great interest in Russian culture as well as the former Soviet Union. Since hearing the State Anthem of the USSR in her first year of high school, she immersed herself in Russian studies.

Uesaka first became a regular on the web radio program Web radio @ Dengeki-Bunko in September 2009. She entered the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University in April 2010 and majored in the Russian language, graduating in 2014. While studying, Uesaka joined Space Craft Entertainment in April 2011. Since October 2011, she has been the radio personality on the web radio program A&G NEXT GENERATION Lady Go!! and starred in a leading role for the anime series Papa no Iu Koto wo Kikinasai!

In December 2012, Uesaka participated as a guest at the Japanese booth at the 23rd Doha International Book Fair in Qatar. This was Uesaka's first cultural diplomacy activity. One of her voice-acting jobs was playing Nonna, the second-in-command of the Russia-themed team "Pravda" in Girls und Panzer. She finally visited the country in November 2013, giving a concert at the Moscow Japanese pop culture festival J-Fest.

On September 4, 2020, she announced that she has left Space Craft Entertainment, and is worked as a freelancer until March 1, 2021, when she announced that she would be joining the Voice Kit agency.

She was announced as being involved in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on September 16, 2022, during the 505 Games panel at the Tokyo Games Show. It was revealed that Uesaka would voice Marisa in the game.
