Card Battle
Card Battles is a minigame in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. You can begin your card collection and start battling once you've recruited Glen and developed the Card Shop.
To play the game, you must build a deck consisting of 36 cards. These cards are made up of four suits: Green (Clubs), Blue (Spades), Yellow (Diamonds), and Red (Hearts). Each suit will have a total of nine cards, one for each power value of 1 through 9. Cards can be obtained from purchasing and opening Card Packs, as well as from completing various Card Battle Missions.
Game Rules
Fields
The game arena comprises three fields of battle, each accommodating three cards from each player. Each battlefield is marked with an Area Point value, denoted by the number of crowns present. Every game will feature fields with Area Point values of 1, 2, and 3.
Players take turns placing a card into one of the three fields. Once a field is filled on both sides, the power values of the cards, along with their skills, and any special hand (see below) values are tallied. The player with the higher cumulative power wins the battle. The winning player earns Victory Points equal to the sum of the field's Area Points and the player's Field Points. A draw results in no Victory Points being assessed to either player.
Special Hands
Assembling one of these special hands will give a bonus to your power and field points.
- Straight: +2 Power, +1 Field Point
- Flush: +2 Power, +1 Field Point
- Three of a Kind: +3 Power, +2 Field Points
- Straight Flush: +5 Power, +3 Field Points
Turns
In the first turn, players draw four cards and must play one of them.
Subsequent turns begin with the player choosing a card to discard, followed by drawing two new cards. They can then play a card to conclude their turn.
Completing a Game
Once all fields are played out, the player with the most Victory Points is declared the winner.
Card Battle Missions
These missions are available as soon as you unlock the Card Shop. You do not need to unlock anything extra, just complete the requirements.
