First Day on the Job is a Main Quest in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. It is the first such quest of the game and begins after first talking to Isha in New Nevaeh.

Find townsfolk who need your help
Talk to the Little Girl, Priya, beside the Bulletin Board in the Plaza.
Gather information in the Plaza
Gather information by talking to the Old Woman and Girl, followed by the Boy at the eastern end of the Plaza.
Find Yum-Yum in the Great Forest
From there, travel to the Great Forest and head east until you encounter Yum-Yum. Return to New Nevaeh and speak with Priya to complete the quest.
Clearing this quest unlocks Main Quest 2: Repair my broken house! as well as the achievement 'Plenty More to Go'.
