Nerthus
Nerthus is a boss enemy that appears in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
Information
Nerthus was a large mole-like beast-monster that resided in Redthroat Ridge. It hid in holes to ambush unsuspecting humans, then carried its plunder back to its lair.
Hearing that its built-up magic could pose a threat to the surrounding communities, magical girl Mellore took it upon herself to travel from Eltisweiss to the canyon. Nowa and his party would follow her and, after proving their good nature, would assist Mellore in taking down the fierce creature.
In gratitude, Mellore would continue to work alongside the Eltisweiss Watch.
Strategy
Nerthus is a hard-hitting enemy. In addition, it tends to burrow underground before reappearing in one of two positions on the battlefield. If the player can predict where Nerthus will reemerge, they can use the battle's gimmick by summouning a magical hammer from Mellore's Left or Right Magical Pretty Grimoire to strike the mole-beast with. This attack does a static 150 HP damage with a chance to Stun while also damaging Nerthus's armor.
