The Search for a Staff is a Shop Quest in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. It is available from the Bulletin Board in the Plaza after clearing Main Quest 20: A Life Worth Dying For.

Find the Mage's Staff on the Snowpeak

Talk to Ilda in front of the Rune Shop in the Rune Quarter to begin this quest. Using the Farmside Menhir, travel to the Runebarrows and use the signpost to head to the Summit of Snowpeak. From here, travel east and defeat the level 35 Ice Mage to obtain the Mage's Staff. After returning to Ilda and completing the quest, the Rune Shop will have additional items in stock and upgrade to Lv. 3.
