Mantor Wyrm

The Mantor Wyrm is a boss enemy in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. It is encountered at the Lava Reservoir area of the Lava Ruins. It is a mandatory boss fight for Main Quest 23: The Guardian Peacekeeper and can be fought by the player in the same location upon reaching Main Quest 29: After the Truth!.

Strategy

The Mantor Wyrm is fought on a small platform, giving the player less space to maneuver from its attacks than previous bosses. It can shoot out a ball of bones and gore from its mouth, which can be reflected by Garoo's attacks. It can also cause balls of magma to fall from the sky, setting most of the ground aflame. The ground affected can cause the Burn status effect. Besides this, the Mantor Wyrm can also lunge at the player and will also frequently contort its body to make it harder to hit, or submerge itself within the magma entirely.

Defeating the Mantor Wyrm Blizzard Brothers for the first time earns the player a Rune Fragment, Giant Lava Rock, and unlocks the achievement 'The Lava Mantor Wyrm'.

Subsequent Battles

The Mantor Wyrm does not return as a repeatable boss until Main Quest 29: After the Truth!. It will be fought at level 30, the same level as its initial encounter in Main Quest 23.

On Hard Mode, the Mantor Wyrm will be fought at level 55. Defeating this version of the Mantor Wyrm unlocks the achievement 'Champion of the Lava Ruins'.
